Εκείνο που τώρα είναι η πανάκεια για τη φτώχεια είναι το «Δει δη πράσινης ανάπτυξης». Αυτά τόνισε ο Γ. Παπανδρέου στην ομιλία του «ΠΡΑΣΙΝΗ ΑΝΑΠΤΥΞΗ – Η ΠΡΟΤΑΣΗ ΤΟΥ ΠΑΣΟΚ» στην Αίγλη Ζαππείου. Η Ομιλία αυτή έγινε στις 5 Μαρτίου, του 2009, αποφράδα ημέρα της προαποφασισμένης μη-συναίνεσης των κομματικών αρχηγών κατά τη συνάντησή τους με τον Πρωθυπουργό στο Μέγαρο Μαξίμου, όπου είχαν κληθεί λόγω της κρίσης που διέρχεται η Ελλάδα.

In searching for a new enemy to unite us, we came up with the idea that pollution, the threat of global warming, water shortages, famine and the like would fit the bill. The real enemy [of the elites and their minions] then is humanity itself.”

Some Current Members of the Club of Rome triad:

Founded in 1968, the CoR describes itself as “a group of world citizens, sharing a common concern for the future of humanity.” It consists of current and former Heads of State, high-level politicians and government officials, diplomats, scientists, economists, and business leaders from around the globe.

The Club of Rome subsequently founded two sibling organizations, the Club of Budapest and the Club of Madrid. The former is focused on social and cultural aspects of their agenda, while the latter concentrates on the political aspects. All three of these ‘Clubs’ share many common members and hold joint meetings and conferences. Hasan Özbekhan, Erich Jantsch and Alexander Christakis were responsible for conceptualizing the original prospectus of the Club of Rome titled «The Predicament of Mankind.» This prospectus was founded on a humanistic architecture and the participation of stakeholders in democratic dialogue. When the Club of Rome Executive Committee in the Summer of 1970 opted for a mechanistic and elitist methodology for an extrapolated future, they resigned from their positions.

2.Alexander (Aleco) Christakis (1937 Athens, Greece) is a Greek American social scientist, systems scientist, and served at the Yale University, the Georgetown University, the University of Athens, the University of Virginia, and at George Mason University
