Furious Putin Orders “Project Double Eagle” To Destroy US, EU Economies

By: Sorcha Faal, and as reported to her Western Subscribers

In one of its most shocking reports since the beginning of the Ukrainian Crisis, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) is warning today that President Putin has ordered the immediate implementation of “Project Double Eagle,” which when fully realized will cause all global energy supplies to be purchased in gold thus, in effect, ending the US Dollar reign as the global reverse currency and collapsing both the United States and European Union economies.

“Project Double Eagle,” this report says, calls for The Central Bank of the Russian Federation (CBR) to begin production of 5 Ruble Gold Coins containing .1244 Troy Ounces of .900 Pure Gold, with a diameter of 18mm, emblazoned with a shielded and crowned double eagle, and which will become the worlds alternative to both the US Dollar and Euro in purchasing energy supplies.

Critical to note, this report continues, “Project Double Eagle” includes the creation of a new “national payment settlement system” which will allow Russia to build a foundation that could very soon offer an alternative to the Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunications (SWIFT) banking system and allow nations around the world the chance to move away from the American Dollar and US hegemony.

The cause behind Putin’s “furious” reaction in ordering “Project Double Eagle” today, this report says, was the “illegal and absurd” blocking of a remittance from the Russian embassy in Astana, Kazakhstan, to Sogaz Insurance Group by the largest US bank, JPMorgan this week through SWIFT and which Foreign Ministry spokesman Aleksandr Lukashevich responded to by stating:

“If by this the American financial company wanted to ‘score points’ in the eyes of the White House, it has obviously overplayed. Washington has to understand: any hostile action towards the Russian diplomatic mission not only represents a breach of the international law, but is also fraught with counter measures, which will inevitably affect the work of the US Embassy and consulates-general in Russia.”

Bhopal victims stage own ‘Olympics’ to protest Dow sponsorship (VIDEO, PHOTOS) — RT

Posted by satyrikon στο 27 Ιουλίου, 2012

Dozens of disabled kids affected by the 1984 Bhopal disaster, one of the world’s worst-ever industrial catastrophes, have held their own Games to protest against the London Olympics sponsorship by Dow Chemical.

The children, aged five to 16 and cheered by their nearest and dearest, have participated in 10 sports in Bhopal during the “Special Olympics». The move was aimed to attract attention to the responsibilities of the company, which has a contract with the IOC until 2020 and, in particular, is a sponsor of London Olympics.

Dow Chemical has repeatedly denied any involvement in the tragedy and refuses to add to the $470-million compensation paid out in 1989.

The Bhopal «Olympics» kicked off with children suffering from cerebral palsy, partial paralysis and mental disabilities parading in wheelchairs and walking with the assistance of others around an outdoor stadium in the shadow of the old pesticide plant.

One of the competitions was called «the crab walk»: three children who were unable to stand propelled themselves down the 25-meter racecourse with their hands.

And one little boy was running back and forth on the field even when no race was on.

«The children are born like this because of the gas,» Kesar Bai, a 45-year-old mother from a slum near the old pesticide plant, told AFP. She firmly believes that the disaster and its long-standing influence caused her son Pratap’s severe cerebral palsy.

«I was thinking ‘If there hadn’t been this tragedy, then so many would not be born like this’,» she said, adding that in the area around her shack there were 10-12 ill kids.

Jamila Bi brought her wheelchair-bound 11-year-old grandson Amaan to take part.

«Today these children are participating, in spite of what Union Carbide did to them,» Bi told AP. «We are happy that they will walk. Those people will see that in spite of what they did these children are still participating.»

Some 25,000 residents of Bhopal died in the aftermath of a massive 1984 gas leak in a pesticide factory owned by the American company Union Carbide.

Immediately after tonnes of toxic gas leaked, survivors remember the slums surrounding the pesticide plant being packed with people, many unconscious, vomiting or frothing at the mouth.

«We woke up at 2am in the night. Everyone was running. If you fell down, they ran over you,» Bai remembers.

In 2001, Union Carbide liable for the disaster was purchased by Dow Chemical.

The latter, however, has done little to improve the situation in the disaster-stricken zone.

According to activists’ estimates, 500,000 people are still suffering from illnesses developed after the tragedy, including cancer, blindness and various birth defects.

«We have been protesting against Dow’s sponsorship [of the Olympic Games] for a year now; we want them to be dropped,» organizers’ spokeswoman Rachna Dhingra told Reuters. «But we have realized this is not going to happen.»

Gates Foundation Support Genetically Modified Cereal Crops with $10M

gmoorange4 235x147 Gates Foundation Gives $10 Million to Support Genetically Modified Cereal CropsBritish
scientists at the John Innes Center recently won a $10 million grant
from the Gates Foundation. Where’s the money going? Not surprisingly, as
Gates owns over 500,000 shares of Monsanto
stock, the organization is putting even more money into genetically
modified cereal crops (corn, wheat and rice, to name a few).

The pledge seems righteous at face value to some, but what the Gates
Foundation failed to mention is that countries like Hungary, France,
India, and Poland have battled GMOs because not only do GM seeds and
pesticides decrease yields over time, but GM is bad news for
farmers and consumers everywhere. Putting farmers in Africa in the
pockets of the likes of Monsanto and other GM companies will only lead
to crop monoculture, soil depletion, water contamination,
pesticide-resistant insects, and a powerless local population of sick
and impoverished farmers.

And this should be of no surprise to Bill Gates, who has openly
stated that Monsanto’s GMOs are the ultimate ‘solution’ to world hunger
yet continues to ignore the bounty of evidence showing that they do just the opposite — crushing soil yields and impoverishing local farmers.

Perhaps even more devastating is the rising suicide toll associated
with the use of Monsanto’s seeds, with a farmer committing suicide every 30 minutes thanks in part due to GMO seeds.

Gates Foundation Ignores Fact that “GM is Failing to Deliver”

The John Innes Center’s aims include engineering crops capable of
harnessing nitrogen from the air. Peas and beans do this naturally, but
cereal crops—as raised by conventional farmers—require chemical ammonia spread upon the field.

Opponents of GM like Pete Riley, campaign director of GM Freeze,
decry that “GM is failing to deliver.” He adds, “If you look in America,
yields haven’t increased by any significant amount and often go down.
Now we’re seeing real, major problems for farmers in terms of weeds that
are resistant to the herbicides which GM crops have been modified to
tolerate.”

This is old news to farmers in north India, where earlier this year
the Maharashtra state government demanded compensation from a German
seed company when unsatisfactory yields of their cotton hybrids
disadvantaged small farmers.

“Productivity in north India is likely to decline because of the
declining potential of hybrids; the emerging problem of leaf curl virus
on the new susceptible Bt-hybrids; a high level of susceptibility to
sucking pests,” said Keshav Raj Kranthi, head of the Central Institute
for Cotton Research.  In a paper published in June 2011, Kranthi added
that GM crops consume more water and nutrients, depleting the soil and
requiring farmers to purchase more fertilizers (putting more money in
the hands of the likes of Monsanto).

The High Cost of GM

If the earth suffers, people suffer. In February, a court in Lyon, France railed against GMOs
by finding Monsanto guilty of failing to put warning labels on Lasso
weedkillers, the use of which caused neurological damage like memory
loss and headaches. Dangers of GM end up literally on our—the
consumers’—plates; consumption of GM crops has been linked to weight
gain and organ disruption.

More courts across the world are fighting genetically modified food,
but one wonders how much of an effect they will have in the face of
behemoth agribusinesses.

Workers revolt! India Suzuki plant bedlam leaves one dead, scores injured (VIDEO) — RT

Posted by satyrikon στο 19 Ιουλίου, 2012

VIDEO HERE

Up to 100 people have been arrested for attacking managers and executives at India’s top carmaker – Maruti Suzuki plant. The chaos left one dead and many injured, forcing the plant to suspend its operations.

A burned body had been recovered from the plant’s main conference room after clashes between workers and executives erupted late on Wednesday. The body was identified as a General Manager in the Human Resource department of the company.

Ninety nine workers have been already arrested following the violence, which charges ranging from murder, attempted murder, infliction of grievous bodily harm and rioting. Police say more arrests are likely to come over the next 48 hours – most of those accused are union leaders and workers.

The rampage in which up to 95 people were injured, including nine police officers, was reportedly sparked by a conflict between a shop floor employee and a supervisor. But eyewitnesses say there had been tension at the plant since 6 pm Wednesday over ongoing talks on wage revision.

The altercation reportedly instigated a fight between the workers and the executives which ended up with property being set afire, offices ransacked, and facilities damaged. The production at the plant has been suspended following the incident, though the plant’s authorities insist that the production lines have not been damaged.

The Maruti Suzuki plant in Manesar, located some 50 kilometers from New Delhi, employs 2,000 people and produces up to 1,200 of Maruti’s top-selling Swift and A-Star hatchbacks and SX4 sedans daily.

Shares in Maruti Suzuki dropped more than nine per cent on Thursday at the Bombay Stock Exchange as investors worried about the impact on production.

This is not the first case of unrest at the Manesar plant. Last year, Maruti Suzuki witnessed three separate instances of labor unrest at the plant, with wages named as the primary cause. There was a 13-day strike in June 2011 that brought production to a standstill.

It was followed by another standoff between the management and the workers on August 29 that lasted 33 days. In October 2011, the company again saw its workers going on a 14-day strike.

An extended shutdown this year would be a major blow for the plant.

After Creating Dollar Exclusion Zones In Asia And South America, China Set To Corner Africa Next | ZeroHedge

By now it really, really should be obvious. While the insolvent «developed world» is furiously fighting over who gets to pay the bill for 30 years of unsustainable debt accumulation and how to pretend that the modern ‘crony capitalist for some and communist for others’ system isn’t one flap of a butterfly’s wings away from full on collapse mode, China is slowly taking over the world’s real assets. As a reminder: here is a smattering of our headlines on the topic from the last year: «»World’s Second (China) And Third Largest (Japan) Economies To Bypass Dollar, Engage In Direct Currency Trade», «China, Russia Drop Dollar In Bilateral Trade», «China And Iran To Bypass Dollar, Plan Oil Barter System», «India and Japan sign new $15bn currency swap agreement», «Iran, Russia Replace Dollar With Rial, Ruble in Trade, Fars Says», «India Joins Asian Dollar Exclusion Zone, Will Transact With Iran In Rupees», ‘The USD Trap Is Closing: Dollar Exclusion Zone Crosses The Pacific As Brazil Signs China Currency Swap», and finally, «Chile Is Latest Country To Launch Renminbi Swaps And Settlement», we now get the inevitable: «Central bank pledges financial push in Africa.» To summarize: first Asia, next Latin America, and now Africa.

Yep: the Yuan may not be the reserve currency by default, but at this
rate China will have bilateral, read USD-bypassing relations, with all
countries in Asia, South America and shortly Africa (where none other
than Goldman Sachs has been pushing harder than anyone). Once the entire
world is trading in CNY, it will be merely a matter of flipping the
switch and all those fancy three-letter economic theories that explain
why the uber-welfare state works just becayse the US can print an infinity+1 in debt, will all suddenly find themselves completely and totally bidless.

From China Daily:

China is to promote the yuan’s use in settling trade and
investment with Africa, and encourage the more active development of
Chinese financial institutions across the continent, a senior central
bank official said on Friday.

Li Dongrong, assistant governor of the People’s Bank of China, said
Africa has the capability of becoming a new hub of international capital
flow, and the yuan’s use there should be further improved in accordance
with rising demand for the currency there.

«We will continue to encourage domestic financial institutions to
increase their presence and business across the continent,» Li told
delegates at the Forum on China-Africa Financial Cooperation in Beijing,
adding that the cooperation potential between the two sides is huge, as
Africa’s economy continues to take off.

According to Li, yuan-denominated settlement between China and some
African countries has already started, with 4.3 billion yuan ($156.5
million) worth of settlement made with South Africa and 2.3 trillion
yuan with Mauritius, for example.

The popularity of using the yuan has been increasing in Africa, and
more central banks are considering including the currency in their
reserve portfolios, reported various governors of African central banks
at the forum.

For China, Ghana is not Spain. It is far, far more valuable.

Millison Narh, second deputy governor of the Bank of
Ghana, said the bank’s board of directors has decided to use the yuan as
part of its settlement and reserve currencies in January, but has yet
to finalise details with the People’s Bank of China

«We have looked at the currency rate risk management of the reserve
portfolio. I think the yuan has performed very well, supported by the
huge international reserves of China. It makes sense to use the yuan as
both the settlement currency and the reserve currency.»

More African central banks will make similar decisions, and in five
years about 20 percent of African central banks’ foreign reserve
portfolio would be yuan assets, he said.

So is Zambia:

Michael Gondwe, governor of the Bank of Zambia, added
that his country is yet to decide on including the yuan in its foreign
reserve assets, but it is expecting increased usage of it to settle
trade between China and Zambia.

Franklin Kennedy, a non-executive director of the African
Export-Import Bank, said he believed using the yuan on the continent was
«a natural evolvement – it has to happen», and expects more African
central banks to include the currency in their foreign reserve
portfolios.

Of course the French, who are not used to being snubbed in what is
rapidly becoming a second Congress of Berlin, only this time one without
any European participation, are not very happy:

One trade finance manager at Societe Generale (China)
Ltd, who declined to be named, said he has seen little demand among
traders to settle deals in yuan, because there is no sound channel to
make investment or purchases in yuan after holding the currency.

As for the truth:

Babacar Ndiaye, the former president of the African
Development Bank, said he saw «no reason» why traders would refuse to
settle transactions in yuan «when the trade flow increases» between
China and Africa.

«It is logical that very soon more and more central banks of Africa will follow Nigeria to include the yuan into their reserves,» he said

He added at present it is just the beginning, and central banks would
also prefer to buy treasury bonds from China in the future if possible.

But… but… if the whole world suddenly realizes that the CNY is the defacto reserve currency and «would also prefer to buy treasury bonds from China in the future if possible«… who does that leave as natural buyers for US paper? Aside from the Fed of course…
